Kolkata airport user fee rollout postponed

Kolkata: The Kolkata airport authorities have postponed, at the last minute, their decision to charge a fee from passengers for the upkeep of the new integrated terminal.
The earlier decision to charge the user development fee - of Rs 400 per domestic passenger and Rs 1,000 per international passenger - had raised eyebrows because fliers can't use the new terminal yet.
By the time the decision to postpone the scheduled fee had been taken by airport director B P Sharma, airlines had already altered their fare structure to incorporate it.
