Mangalore Airport exit road closed


Mangalore: Motorists using the approach road leading to the Mangalore International Airport (MIA) will have to cautious from Wednesday. The main approach road will be converted into a two-way facility as the current exit via Dakkan Park will be closed for at least five months till July-end to facilitate its development, said JT Radhakrishna, MIA director.
The work of developing the 1225-metre road has been entrusted to the Karnataka Road Development Corporation Limited (KRDCL). The present asphalted surface will be converted into a two-lane concrete road of 11-metre width. KRDCL has entrusted construction to Concord company at an estimated cost of Rs 10.81 crore.
