Margao: Former minister Churchill Alemao refuted allegations made against him at the recent Goemkar meet held at Lohia Maidan that he had raked up the issue of Mopa airport just to win the assembly elections.
Stating that he didn't need any issue and that he always won due to the support of the people, Alemao added that a lot of his supporters had attended the meet not for any political reasons, but the closure of Dabolim airport was a serious issue and would destroy the tourism industry in South Goa.
