Deer at Nagpur airport again, combing operations on

Nagpur:  MIHAN India Limited (MIL) that runs city's airport has fresh deer problem on its hands. It has launched a combing exercise to trace a deer reportedly trotting around in the airport's vast expanses. The forest department too is expected to join this exercise.
"There were reports of deer being sighted and that's why a combing has been planned. The forest department has seen the area and has agreed to send the staff to capture the animal," said a senior official of MIL. The deer is reportedly near the air force station area and was spotted two or three days back, informed a source.
MIL has also started clearing the operational area by cutting the overgrown grass. "Only about 2.5 acre of the operational area between the link taxi way and air force station is remaining to be cleared. Many AAI employees have said it is for the first time that this much area of the airport has been cleared of grass," the senior official said.
