Diabetic passenger dies at Mumbai airport


Mumbai: A 65-year-old diabetic man travelling from Singapore to Nagpur via Mumbai on Air India fight AI 343 died at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) Tuesday.
At about 5 pm, Vinayak Mushrif suddenly became unresponsive while inside an inter-terminal coach. His wife Manisha alerted airport authorities.
"The CSIA medical team was called and cardiopulmonary resuscitation started. The doctors also used the automated external defibrillator (AED) installed in the coach, but the passenger did not respond," said a Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) spokesperson.
