From March 15, all flights from new terminal in Kolkata


Kolkata: All operations at the city airport will shift to the new integrated terminal by March 15. Airlines will start moving to the new terminal from the evening of March 10 and Jet Airways will be the first to operate all flights from there on March 11. Air India will shift on March 14.
"A meeting was convened on February 28 and the complete schedule was discussed. Among those present were the airport director, Airports Authority of India officials, general managers of airlines and officials from the Airport Operators' Committee (AOC). The AAI authorities assured us that immigration, customs and CISF would be ready by March 15. That is the date by which all airlines will have shifted to the new terminal. The user development fee of Rs 400 for domestic fliers and Rs 1,000 for international fliers will also be charged from that date," said Sarvesh Gupta, chairman, AOC.
