Glitches led to Air France emergency landing: Probe

Investigators have found three different sets of technical glitches in the Air France aircraft engine that could have led to the pilot deciding on issuing an emergency landing.
Sources said the officials found that the screw from the acoustic panel got loose, the temperature control system got dysfunctional and a sharp knife like object used for putty paint was stuck in the pipes.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will be sending a report regarding this to the air safety regulator of France for further perusal.
“The glitch could have taken place due to any of the reasons as mentioned in the report,” a source said.
Paris-bound Air France flight carrying 213 passengermade a full emergency landing on Monday after its pilot suspected smoke emanating from the engine.
