New airport terminal sees hassle-free operations on Day 1

Ranchi: A new infrastructure especially dealing with both man and machine faces hiccups in early days but to surprise of the passengers and management of Birsa Munda Airport there was seamless transfer of operations from old to new terminal.
Passengers who landed in Birsa Munda Airport on Tuesday morning by the Kolkata-Ranchi-New Delhi flight, which eventually became the first airplane to touch down in Ranchi after the new terminal was inaugurated two days ago, were full of praise for the management and the facilities. Some of the fliers even likened the terminal to the ones in metros.
Rajiv Bhargav, a senior executive of the Steel Authority of India Limited ( SAIL) who was the first person to come out of the airport, was happy to see the new terminal.
