Bangalore: The III Additional Bangalore Urban district Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum slapped a fine of Rs 15,850 to Air India for negligent service.
Complainant Banda Venkata Ravi Kumar, of LG Halli contended that the company had misplaced his baggage when he was traveling from Bangalore to Delhi on February 18.
There were birthday gifts worth Rs 80,000 for his daughter in the bag, he said.
Air India in its reply said it had handed over the baggage to the Bangalore International Airport Limited, therefore the BIA was responsible for it.
