SpiceJet looks to fly to Tirupati again

Vishakhapatnam: SpiceJet is mulling restarting its flight from Visakhapatnam to the temple town of Tirupati and back, which was cancelled about three months ago due to poor response.
It is learnt that the airline is likely to reconsider its decision if Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) agrees to design a special package for air travellers.
The issue was taken up by minister of state for industries and commerce D Purandeswari. After a deliberation with the representatives of the IT sector, air travellers associations, chambers of commerce and hoteliers associations, it was decided to request the APTDC to extend a special package comprising a pickup from Tirupati airport, transit to the Tirumala Hills, stay in a cottage and darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
