Indore: Frequent incidents of flight delays at Indore airport due to technical problems have left flyer high and dry. Airport officials blame lack of maintenance facility at Indore airport for flight delays.
In last one month four flights have been delayed to technical snag. Every time an aircraft develops some technical snag, maintenance crew has to be flown in from some other destination.
"We have asked the airlines to convey to their headquarters the need for better servicing facility and availability of spare parts at Indore," airport director of Indore airport, R N Shinde said.
At times, the passengers have to wait for hours while engineers and spare parts are called from other cities. Sometimes, relatively small faults such as electric faults not only result in delays but also cause a great discomfort to the passengers.
