AI tops complaint list


Mumbai: When it comes to passenger complaints, Air India (AI) is an airline most complained against. The data released by the Directorate of Civil Aviation ( DGCA) for the month of November 2012 shows AI at the top of the complaint list. However, complaints by passengers against airlines have been only 1.4 for every 10,000 passengers carried.
The data reveals that AI has, on an average, two complaints per 10,000 passengers. On the second spot is Jet airways with 1.7 complaints on an average. Low-cost-carrier, Spice Jet and Jetlite, stand third with 1.3 average passenger complaints per 10,000 passengers. They are closely followed by Indigo airline which has 1.1 average complaints. The least passenger complaints during the month were against GoAir with only one complaint every 10,000 passengers.
