Mumbai: The main runway at Mumbai airport was shut on Friday due to the construction of a new blast fence. The runway would be closed on Saturday as well. All flight operations were shifted to the secondary runway. While MIAL said flight operations were not affected, officials said there was only a delay of about 15-20 minutes. Airport officials said the runway was closed between 11am and 5pm for the construction of the blast fence.
