Raipur: The swanky building of the Swami Vivekanand Airport may match the standards of any international airport in terms of its facade and infrastructure, but when it comes to handling a rush of people, chaos rules here. Passengers at the airport witnessed total mismanagement on Wednesday and Thursday due to delayed flights and arrival of a VVIP in the city.
From long queues for security check in the foyer, to traffic caused by rows of cars parked haphazardly in the no parking zone- woes of the already beleaguered passengers were endless. While the arrival of BJP national president, Rajnath Singh in a chartered flight contributed to the confusion on Wednesday, the delay of the Jet Konnect flights to Delhi and Bhopal on Friday evening laid bare the incapability of the airport management.
