Nagpur AAI officials to train Mumbai and Delhi staff for acquiring ISO 27000


Nagpur: A few days ago, Nagpur airportbecame the first airport in the country to receive an ISO 27000 certificate. Airports Authority of India chairman VP Agrawal unveiled the certificate on Sunday, April 14. He also suggested that Nagpur will now guide other airports into getting the certification.
In fact, Nagpur is not only the first in India but also the first in world to be certified for air navigation service providing (ANSP). There are seven airports in the world which have ISO 27000, but none of them have it for ANSP.
Praising the efforts of the Nagpur AAI staff, Agrawal said that it was indeed a great achievement for not only the city but also the country. "Now they will lead their colleagues in Mumbai and Delhi into getting an ISO 27000 certification," he said.
