Afghan national arrested with gold worth Rs. 40 lakh

New Delhi: An Afghan national has been arrested by customs officials for allegedly smuggling into the country gold valued at about Rs. 40 lakh at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi.
41-year-old Ahmad Fardin, a resident of Shahre-Mazar Sharif, had yesterday arrived from Kabul.
Customs officials intercepted him after he was moving towards the exit gate.
