Hyderabad: The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), operated by GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), has been awarded the prestigious 5-star rating by the British Safety Council for its health and safety management system.
RGIA is the only airport in the world to receive this award, said a GHIAL statement.
Outside the aviation industry, only a few organisations in India like Asian Paints, Tata Motors, GAIL, Reliance and L&T have received the award in the last 10 years.
