MIAL set to award advtg rights for swanky new Terminal 2

Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) is gearing up to enrich the swanky Terminal 2 at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport with various commercial activities. The Terminal, which is set to open in September this year, had invited outdoor owners to bid for advertising rights of various media formats. The tender for the same was closed sometime early this month and the announcement of the win is expected soon.
The GVK-led consortium that operates the airport hopes Terminal 2 or T2 will outshine Delhi Airport’s T3.
According to highly placed industry sources, details of the tender contract encompasses design, setting up, development and maintenance of advertisement locations in and around T2, etc. Sources have also mentioned that some of the bidders included Lakshya, JCDecaux and Times OOH. It is understood that bids have moved from fix rate to fix rate plus a revenue share system.
