Mumbai: After state home minister RR Patil’s recent frisking led to a tussle between his security guards and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), Patil’s office has taken up the matter with airport safety regulator, asking them to allow his bullet-proof car to move till the tarmac as he is a VVIP.
However, in response, the Bureau of Civil Aviation and Security (BCAS) headquarters in New Delhi has replied to him stating that it cannot be allowed under the present rule, and therefore, he should ask the Maharashtra government to take up the matter with the civil aviation ministry.
