Airport land to be finalized after AAI report, says Chavan

Pune: Chief Minister PrithvirajChavan on Friday said that the final decision on land for city's international airport at Rajgurunagar will be taken only after the Airports Authority of India (AAI) submits its feasibility report.
Chavan was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function to release Marathi translation of former army chief general (retd) JJ Singh's autobiography 'The Soldier's General'.
"We are waiting for the feasibility report. Once this report is finalised, we would ahead," said Chavan, adding that the state has decided to allocate land in lieu to those who give their land for the New Mumbai airport.
He added that the proposed land acquisition bill by the Centre will facilitate major projects in the state.
