Bhubaneswar: At least five customs and 10 immigration counters will be put up at both arrival and departure lounges at the international terminal of Biju Patnaik airport here.
The airport authorities revealed this during a coordination committee meeting and joint inspection of the progress of work of the international terminal. Immigration, customs, special branch, CISF and other officials were present during the inspection."About 90% work of international terminal building has been completed. We will give final report regarding the preparedness for starting international operations to Airports Authority of India (AAI) by June-end," said airport director Sharad Kumar. In the first phase, conveyer belts were realigned to suit requirement of international operation, he said.
