Craters on taxiways after 3 days of rain

Mumbai:  Monsoon arrived in the city only on Saturday and the airport taxiways are already in a state of disrepair. On Monday, a taxiway, N1, had to be shut after it developed small potholes. It is mostly used by aircraft to enter the runway for a take-off.
Though Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd (MIAL) said the taxiway was closed for regular maintenance work, pilots landing at the airport said its surface had become uneven.
