Explosives panic at LGBI Airport

Mirza: Tension prevailed at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport today over the recovery of suspected explosive materials by security officials in the morning. The suspected explosive materials were rushed to the Azara Police Station for further investigation.
Police sources said that the explosive experts of Assam Police suspected the materials to be explosive detonators but could not confirm. Later, experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) confirmed that the materials were not explosives, but used for heating purposes. Police sources added that the materials were supposed to be sent to one Rajiv Kumar of Noida near Delhi by a Spicejet flight (SG 881) at 3.30 pm today and the cargo officials and CISF personnel deputed in the airport first suspected the materials to be explosives after their routine check-up of the cargos.
