Karnataka seeks better air connectivity to boost tourism

Bangalore: The government is exploring better air connectivity to tourist spots in the State.
Addressing presspersons here on Friday, Minister for Higher Education and Tourism R.V. Deshpande said he had met Union Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh and requested him to provide air connectivity to tourists places in coastal parts of the State via Goa. Air connectivity to Mysore would also help, he said. Though a large number of tourists visit Goa beaches, Karnataka’s beaches attract a negligible number on account of lack of connectivity and poor infrastructure.
