Guwahati: The Airport Authority Employees Union staged a demonstration outside the LokapriyaGopinathBordoloi International (LGBI) Airport here on Friday against the Centre's move to privatize assets in airports.
The union said that any attempt to introduce the public-private-partnership (PPP) model at LGBI Airport will be vehemently opposed. It expressed fear that the Centre may introduce the PPP model at the airport as it has already decided to bring in the model in Chennai and Kolkata.
