Chennai: Chennai airport has yet again proved to be unsafe. Hailing from Enathur in Kancheepuram, Arulraj Solomon (32) breached the security and entered the restricted area at the international terminal on Thursday night. CISF officials apprehended him and handed him over to the police, who later released him claiming that he was mentally unstable.
Airport sources said Solomon trespassed and reached the check-in area around 11.30 pm on Thursday when the terminal was busy with passengers bound for international destinations. “He was seen loitering inside the terminal for about 30 minutes. The CISF officials, who spotted him through the CCTV cameras, apprehended him when they found that he was standing aimlessly,” the sources added.
