New Delhi: The Union Cabinet is likely to take up for consideration the long-pending proposal of the Karnataka government to rename the Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) after Kempe Gowda, the founder of the city.
The State government had sent the proposal to the Centre as early as 2009. But, the issue has been pending following resistance from several organisations.
