Man held at RGIA with gold worth 25L

Hyderabad: Customs sleuths arrested a passenger arriving from Bangkok while he was trying to smuggle in 1 kg gold biscuit worth Rs 25 lakh at the RGI Airport, Shamshabad, on Tuesday.
Acting on passenger profiling intelligence data, the sleuths of Air Intelligence Unit, RGIA Customs, intercepted a passenger, Syed Daulath Hussain, at the exit gate of the customs check area.
Hussain, a native of Alipur in Karnataka, arrived here from Bangkok by Thai Airways Flight TG-329 in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Hussain opted for the 'Green Channel', which is meant for passengers not in possession of any dutiable goods.
