Modified Mahindra Aerospace GippsAero GA8 Airvan Astra from Summit Aviation at ALEA

The 43rd Annual ALEA Conference & Exposition held at Orlando from 17-20 July showcased the best of public safety aviation. Exhibitors showcased their products and services to aviation unit decision-makers and end users. Greenwich AeroGroup company, Summit Aviation announced their new Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform for the aid of law enforcement officials.
Displayed for the first time at booth No 472, the aircraft is a cost effective modified Mahindra Aerospace GippsAero GA8 Airvan Astra. Summit has modified this system making it a full work station with moving maps and cross cueing sensors with a 3D mapping aerial camera and full motion video facilities. Summit Aviation is well versed with offering services to the Department of Defence.
They have utilized some of the most innovative techniques and facilities and modified them so as to ensure that they are more economical and efficient to meet the needs of law enforcement personnel.
GippsAERO, the Australian manufacturing arm of Mahindra Aerospace announced Summit Aviation as an authorized dealer for the GA8 Airvan in US with a particular focus on government and surveillance aircraft sales back in January 2013.
