Chennai: The Akila India Samathuva Makkal Katchi (AISMK) on Sunday urged Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to take steps to name the newly developed airport complex after former Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran while retaining the name of former Chief Minister K. Kamaraj for the domestic terminus and that of C.N. Annadurai for the international terminus.
A resolution to this effect was adopted at a meeting of the party here to mark the birth anniversary of K. Kamaraj and distribution of assistance to the poor. R. Sarathkumar, president of AISMK, presided over the meeting, which was held on Island ground here.
