Safety fears still haunt Dreamliner

New Delhi:  Boeing's brand new B-787 Dreamliner — which started flying again in May after being grounded globally for four months following safety fears — has again started giving trouble to airlines using this aircraft since last week. An Air India Dreamliner was scheduled to fly from Delhi to Frankfurt on Thursday. But as soon as the plane moved, there was a cockpit warning signal and the pilots decided to bring the plane back to the aerobridge.
AI's problem with the Dreamliner comes on the heels of a Japan Air Lines (JAL) Dreamliner returning to Boston instead of continuing its journey to Tokyo following another cockpit warning a few days back and fire breaking out an a B-787 belonging to Ethiopian Airlines while the plane was parked at London Heathrow last week.

Interestingly, Japanese carriers JAL and All Nippon Airways — the biggest customers of the Dreamliner — have been facing problems with this aircraft ever since it was allowed to fly again in May.
