New Delhi: Security agencies have issued an alert at the Indira Gandhi International Airport to check all passengers travelling to the USA in groups of five or more. The alert came after the recent arrests of five persons who had sought visas from the US Embassy on the pretext of attending conferences in the US.
"Commonly agents make their customers travel in groups. So the documents and credentials of all those travelling in groups will be checked thoroughly. The agents usually ask their customers to assemble at the airport, from where they are taken to the embassy," a source said.
Sources said the five had been found to be part of a gang that operated an organised human trafficking racket.
