The Bombay High Court has refused to grant Mumbai developer HDIL interim relief in the case challenging the termination of slum rehabilitation contract awarded to it by Mumbai International Airport.
However the High Court has given HDIL time till September 16, 2013 to appeal in higher court.
Ranjit More of Bombay HC said that HDIL failed to make a case in its favour and dismissed its petition which sought to restrain MIAL from retendering and reodering the SRA project to any third party amongst others. The court observed that prima facie MIAL's termination of rehabilitation contract was not illegal.
