The Mihin Lanka Air service informed that it has commenced new air services with the start of Buddhist pilgrimage season in India.
This season prevails from August to November. The Mihin Lanka Officials informed that from 3rd of August up to now more than 2000 pilgrims have traveled to India by Mihin Lanka. The Airline operates services to Baranes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, to Buddha Gaya on Saturdays. The services to New Delhi are being operated on Saturdays, Wednesdays and Mondays. The Air line also informed that facilities are being provided to government servants, pensioners and security services personnel to pay their ticket fare in 10 installments.
