SpiceJet Mumbai-Belgaum operations unlikely from August 15

Belgaum: A few weeks ago sugar and small scale minister PrakashHukkeri and KNShrivastava, secretary, ministry of civil aviation, had said that SpiceJet will commence Mumbai-Belgaum flights on a daily basis from August 15. But airport officials and SpiceJet say that they are yet to get any communication on the same.
On July 6, in a press release issued from Delhi, Shirivastava had said operations will begin from August 15. When contacted Sambra airport manager Parvathy said: "We have not received any communication regarding Mumbai-Belgaum flights. If at all a flight should start, there are procedures and formalities like
advance payment, fixing timings for the departure and arrival. None of these have been done, and hence the proposed flight is doubtful," SpiceJet manager at Sambra Airport also said that they have not received any communication regarding the proposed Mumbai-Belgaum flights.
