SpiceJet to start Pune-Sharjah flight

Pune: Low-cost carrier SpiceJet has announced the launch of a direct flight service between Pune and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 21. The airline has opened bookings for the new service.
This will be the third flight service connecting Pune with an international destination, following Air India Express' service on the Pune-Dubai route and German airline Lufthansa's service on the Pune-Frankfurt route.
SpiceJet, in a press release issued recently, has stated that it will deploy its new generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with the capacity to take 189 passengers on the Pune-Sharjah route. "Pune is the third Indian destination to be connected with Sharjah on SpiceJet network. The airline already operates on Varanasi-Sharjah and Lucknow-Sharjah routes," the release stated.
