Shama Gamkhar, an associate professor of public affairs and long-time faculty member of the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas, was killed in a plane crash, along with her husband Sid Shah, 58, on Aug. 4.
Gamkhar, 54, was an expert in environmental economic policy and a teacher of public finance and financial management.
According to AP, Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said a Hawker Beechcraft A36 went down the afternoon of Aug. 4 near Alma, about 70 miles northwest of Brunswick.
