Hyderabad: Air Costa, a regional airline promoted by Vijayawada-based Lingamaneni Estates and Projects (LEPL), has received air operators’ permit from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), clearing the way to start its scheduled flight operations. The airline would start operations with two E170 and an equal number of E190 Embraer E-Jets, the company said in a statement.
Initially, the airline would service Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Jaipur. Thereafter, it would spread its wings to other cities such as Pune, Goa, Madurai, Thiruvananthapuram and Visakhapatnam. “Air Costa is expected to launch flight operations in October and will start sale of tickets soon,” LEPL chief executive KN Babu said.
