Vijayawada: The Andhra Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has expressed happiness at the Airport Authority of India’s (AAI) move to expand the Vijayawada airport at Gannavaram.
In a letter addressed to the AAI’s Chennai Regional Executive Director T.S. Chandramauli, ACCI president M. Muralikrishna referred to Mr. Chandramauli’s recent visit to the airport to review situation relating to new terminal building, automation of air traffic control system, instrument landing system (ILS), layout and other development works, and said that upgradation of the airport as a modern and international airport was essential for the region.
