Thiruvananthapuram: A flight that was going from Maldives to Beijing made an emergency landing at Trivandrum International Airport on Monday evening.
The plane was made to land after a passenger, Yanzhi, 23, of Beijing, China, suffered severe pain in her abdomen. The Mega Airlines flight made the emergency landing at 7.04pm.According to the airport officials, the flight was 50 nautical miles away from Thiruvananthapuram and was under the terminal control area of Trivandrum International Airport. The pilot of the flight sent a message conveying the matter and demanded a priority landing, following which immediate arrangements were made for it here. A medical team of the Trivandrum International Airport examined the patient upon arrival and moved her to Ananthapuri Hospital. Yanzhi's husband is also accompanying her.
