IIM-Raipur students get tips on aviation

Raipur: Students were given important tips on Indian aviation and future of Indian airports by Airports Authority of India (AAI), Raipur, director Anil Kumar Rai, in an interactive session, at Indian Institute of Management, Raipur (IIM-R).
Sharing his ideas, Rai said that India is the ninth biggest aviation market in the world, and by 2020, it would be the third biggest market. He talked about various aspects of aviation such as opening of more operational airports, improving international air connectivity and increasing number of aircrafts. He also talked about AAI achievements such as setting up and inaugurating the new Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur, terminating flying club operations, acquiring a new aerodrome license for Raipur, getting simple approach lighting system for aided landing in poor visibility conditions, and improving facilities available at the airport.
