Nagpur: Airports Authority of India (AAI) airport director AK Verma has been transferred on a promotion to Guwahati. He will take up the charge of airport director at Guwahati Airport which is a general manager level post.
Verma will be joining Guwahati Airport on Monday. He joined Nagpur's Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport as AAI airport director in April 2010. In his tenure a number of initiatives were taken up by the AAI at Nagpur. Nagpur received acclaim for the successful installation of INDRA radar system and acquiring the ISO 27000 certification. "It is with great satisfaction that I am moving. The team here was a very good one. Now Nagpur is looked upon with admiration by others in implementation of new technologies. It was a great experience for me," said Verma.
