Kochi: S A S Navaz, Deputy Commissioner of Customs has taken charge of the Air Cargo Complex, Cochin International Airport Ltc. (CIAL) from September 1, 2013. He will also hold additional charge of Air Customs (Administration) and Air Intelligence Unit. He replaces Deputy Commissioner C Madhavan and Assistant Commissioner Anil Kumar. Navaz is a recipient of ‘Commendation Certificate’ in 1991, from Manmohan Singh, the then Union Finance Minister for initiating ‘drive against smugglers, foreign exchange racketeers and psychotropic substances’.
