Now, fly from Delhi to Mumbai via Allahabad

Lucknow: Expanding its wings to reach out to small destinations in Uttar Pradesh, Air India is all set to operate flights from Delhi to Allahabad and then further to Mumbai. It would also operate flights connecting Agra to Mumbai. The national carrier is likely to start its operations in the two cities from September 9. While the timing and the route has been finalized for Allahabad, it is taking final shape for Agra.
According to sources, the national carrier will fly from Delhi to Mumbai via Allahabad four days a week -- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Talking to TOI, terminal manager in Lucknow airport, Sujeet Kumar confirmed that the schedule has been finalized for the Sangam city.
There will be two flights operating at tandem from Delhi and Mumbai via Allahabad. A flight will take off from Delhi at 7.50 am to reach Allahabad around 8.45 am. The same flight will then take off from Allahabad at 9.15 am to reach Mumbai at around 11.15 am. At the same time, another flight will start from Mumbai at 7.45 am to reach Allahabad at 9.45 am. The flight will stay for an hour before taking off from Allahabad at around 10.45 am to reach Delhi at 11.30 am.
