Muscat: An Omani national was arrested at the Chennai airport in India on Wednesday for possessing a 7.62mm rifle bullet, according to an official. The official, who is based at the airport, told Muscat Daily that the person was arrested at the security checkpoint when police found the bullet inside the passenger's shaving kit.
He added that the passenger, identified as A.Z.A, was to board an Air India flight to Muscat after undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the southern Indian city. The officer said that a case has been registered the man and declined to give further details.
