AAI website shows sharp dip in intl air traffic in city

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) website shows a drastic fall in the number of international aircraft movements from the city airport in July 2013 as compared to the figures of same month in 2012. The fall is as much as 51.5%. Besides this, the AAI website has not updated statistics for October, or even September.
Contrary to what the website projects, there has been no change in the number of scheduled international flights from the city, and we are not losing the meagre international connection that Nagpur has. In fact, from October 29 Air Arabia is scheduled to increase the frequency on Nagpur-Sharjah route to four non-stop flights per week.
