Aerial land survey likely to restart soon

Patna: Aerial survey for land in Bihar, which started on May 22 from Suryagarha in Lakhisarai district, has not been resumed after monsoon due to heavy clouds. The programme was suspended during monsoon and state government had decided to relaunch the aerial survey from October.
Revenue and land reforms department secretary Hukum Singh Meena said since the sky is still overcast, survey will not be reliable and clear. "Once sky is clear, survey would be relaunched. Earlier, we had decided to resume the aerial operation from September-October," he said.
The aerial survey was launched to update the state land records. In the process, data of land is captured through aerial photography, the record is sent to revenue and land department which puts all such data on computer to make the entire land records digitalized.
