Aerobridges opened at Dibrugarh airport

Dibrugarh:  After a prolonged wait, two aerobridges were made operational at the new terminal building of Dibrugarh airport on Wednesday. Union DoNER minister Paban Singh Ghatowar inaugurated the aerobridges in the presence of Dibrugarh Municipal Board chairman Cahandra Kanta Baruah and Airports Authority of India officials, including the director of the airport.
The first trial of the aerobridges and push-back machines was held on August 8 and the final trial was carried out from Sunday onwards for three consecutive days. Passengers of Jet Airways flights between Ahmedabad and Dibrugarh via Delhi and Guwahati will have the facility of disembarking from and boarding the aircraft through aerobridges. Air India and Indigo Airlines authorities have also demanded the aerobridge facility be provided to the concerned airlines.
