Nedumbassery: Ninety-one Indian expatriate workers who had been working in various parts of Saudi Arabia without valid documents were deported to India and they reached here on Saturday. They reached at 6.20 am at Nedumbassery airport and came by an Air India Express flight.
Seventy-five of the deported were Malayalis, while 25 belonged to Tamil Nadu and other states.
Most of these expatriates had been detained by the Saudi police and languishing in various jails for not having iqama or other documents, including passports.
