Bangalore: The Central Bureau of Investigation nabbed former minister and Hospet (Vijayanagar) MLA Anand Singh when he arrived from Singapore at the Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) on Thursday morning.
The BJP MLA, an accused in the illegal iron ore mining scam, allegedly threw a tantrum when airport security officials asked him to wait as there was a CBI lookout notice for him. He reportedly threatened officials with legal action but calmed down after CBI officials arrived and took him into custody.
Anand Singh landed came from Singapore around 8.55am and sparked an alert when he came to the passport control counter. "When we requested Anand Singh not to leave the premises, he threw a fit," sources at the airport said.
